Baby Cameron!

Sweet baby Cameron got his first exposure to Mr. Bentley just a few days after he was born. Obviously though he had gotten a few tips from big sister Ava because he handled it like a pro. We were so excited to get to meet him because it seemed like we waited forever. Based on this session, I think he’s going to like this place. Even big sis got in on the fun!

OK sorry I couldn’t resist. But her name is Mollie, and she’s absolutely precious! Of course to me all babies are beautiful but she got an extra dose of pretty no doubt. She was a good sport, and very patient with me as I clowned around the studio. Hopefully she will come back to see me very soon!!!

I’m BACK!

Ok…I know…it’s been a month. I’M SORRY!!! After getting back we were right in the middle of construction, followed by senior portrait season full blast…then school started. What can I say? It’s been a crazy month to say the least. I’ll try to do better I promise. But for now…let’s go back in time, shall we?

Ashlee and Caleb

At the end of June, I was fortunate to get the opportunity to shoot the wedding of my friends Ashlee and Caleb. I’ve known Ashlee since she was just a little girl and have photographed her several times over the years. She reminds me of this fact occasionally due to the wall portrait that her mother insists is NEVER coming down. As I expected, she was a beautiful bride. Caleb…he was ok but I guess he cleaned up pretty good. Anyway the wedding of course was beautiful and despite the heat, and the sprinkling rain, we came away with some of my favorite images yet. Thank you Ashlee and Caleb for sharing your day with us…

It was 12 years ago today…I became a father for the first time. It doesn’t seem like I should have a seventh grader…but it’s true. Happy birthday buddy. I love you very much…

She came all the way from Auburn to see me…and I couldn’t believe how much she has changed! I’ve been shooting portraits of this cutie since she was born, so it’s not like she’s a stranger. But it seems like over the past year she has gone from baby…to all out little girl, with expressions to match. Anyway, she handled the outfit changes like a pro, and as expected we turned out some great pictures. I’m just wondering if she will look like a teenager the next time I see her…

These guys are two of my favorite tiny people. They are like most kids. When they are into getting their picture made and having fun, we can shoot all day. Well they were both at the top of their game for this session. Just too many great images. I even had trouble narrowing down a few for the blog post. Enjoy!

I just love the name William. It sounds so dignified…even on a baby. This is my new friend…and he’s as handsome as he can be. Not only that, but he was so happy and content throughout the whole session. He even sat up a little bit for me…and he’s only 4 months old! I’ll look forward to many more visits from this chap.

15 years!

As of Tuesday, June 1st 2010, Michelle and I have been married 15 years. That’s a pretty big deal I think. It really doesn’t seem like it’s been that long, but looking back at the photos I know it has. Several years ago I talked to a gentleman who had been married to his wife for 50 years. I had to ask…”what’s the secret?”

“No secret,” he said. “Love each other. Respect each other, and treat each other well.”

Sounds easy enough to me.

Thank you Michelle for 15 wonderful years. I love you, and I wouldn’t change a thing.

And what’s a blog post without a photo. I thought some of you might get a kick out of this one…I know I sure did!
